Metapex 38 Liquid (2006)

Metapex 38 Liquid (also known as Synthrapol) is a very concentrated and efficient liquid detergent used for cleaning fabrics and yarns before dyeing or printing. It is also used as a soaping agent after dyeing and printing processes.

Metapex 38 is extremely efficient in removing general soiling, as well as fibre processing aids such as oils, starches, waxes, greases, lanolin, and animal fats. It is safe and effective for use on a wide range of fabrics, yarns, and carded fibre tops. A simple treatment with Metapex 38 liquid in water at 60°c emulsifies and removes most fibre contaminants.

Cross staining of surplus dye onto adjacent fibre (particularly white), is a problem the liquid is also designed to help prevent. A warm rinse after the printing or dyeing operation, followed by a treatment with Metapex 38 in water at 60°c, will remove unfixed dye and keep it emulsified to prevent cross staining.
