Kemtex Introductory Dyeing Kits
1. REACTIVE CD DYE KIT (£15.25 + £3.25 p&p) * For Cotton, Silk, Linen, Viscose, Rayon. * Kit contains 5 'Cold Dyeing' PROCION MX dyes in concentrated
powder form, namely: Lemon Yellow CD, Golden Yellow CD, Cerise Red
CD, Blue CD and Turquoise CD (10gm bottles of each). plus * All essential chemicals, i..e. Soda Ash, Urea and Manutex (for
dyeing, printing and painting). plus * Cotton Colouration Booklet: a 24-page booklet which includes
details for preparing, dyeing and washing off Cotton (including
Linen and Viscose Rayon). Novel application methods covered in detail in the booklet
include Conventional Dyeing, Dip Dyeing, Tie Dyeing, Shibori Dyeing,
Wax Batiks &
Printing/Painting/Stencilling/Spraying.
2. ACID DYE KIT (£15.25 + £3.25 p&p) * For Wool, Silk, Mohair, Angora, Cashmere. * Kit contains 5 concentrated Acid Dye powders namely: Yellow,
Brown, Red, Blue and Jade (25gm bottles of each). plus * All essential chemicals, scouring agent, levelling agent, fixing
agent and lubricant. plus * Wool Colouration Booklet, a 24-page booklet including details on
preparing, dyeing and washing off; plus novel dyeing techniques such
as Rainbow Dyeing, Ikat Hank Dyeing, Tie Dyeing and Space
Dyeing.
3. SHIBORI DYEING KIT (£16.25 + £3.25 p&p) * Designed for Silk but also suitable for Cotton, Linen and Viscose
Rayon. * Kit contains 5 'Cold Dyeing' PROCION MX Dyes in concentrated
powder form, namely: Emerald CD, Purple CD, Rust CD, Charcoal CD and
Bottle CD (10gm bottles of each). plus * 3 plastic syringes of 10ml capacity each. plus * Essential Shibori chemicals: soda ash & urea. and * Colouration of Silk Booklet (24 pages) which includes full
details of Shibori Dyeing.
4. TRANSFER PRINTING KIT (£14.75 + £3.25 p&p) * For Polyester, Nylon, Acrylic synthetic fibres. * Kit contains 6 concentrated Transprint powders, namely: Yellow
TP, Scarlet TP, Blue TP, Black TP, Chocolate TP and Mid Green TP
(10gms of each). * 2 bottles of thickener powder so that the TP dyes can be used at
consistencies from water colours through to oil paint. * Transfer Printing Booklet - an 8-page boklet giving practical
details for transfer printing the dyes onto polyester to give a
durable colour-fast print.
